In Springfield Public Schools (SPS), nutrition services staff at Ridgeview Elementary and Walterville Elementary served delicious multi-colored carrots and apples to all students during lunch, as part of Oregon's Crunch at Once event, celebrated on Thursday, October 23.

Beginning September 2025, all Springfield Public Schools (SPS) students must have their electronic devices off and away from bell to bell, including during passing periods and lunch.

State officials joined Springfield Public Schools students, staff and community leaders at the Two Rivers-Dos Ríos gymnasium to celebrate with effusive cheers and applause Special Education Teacher, Sally Golden as the 2025 Oregon Teacher of the Year.
